My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way is readying the release of his ‘The Umbrella Academy: Apocalypse Suite #1′ comic book. “The first issue of the comic is done and the second one is nearly finished,” Way tells Kerrang!. “I just hope it gets people into comic book stores who wouldn’t normally go there. That’s a success to me. That’s why I’m finally happy to talk about it in music magazines – because the point is to show people who aren’t into comics how much great stuff there is out there. Comics are a struggling art form. I’m really psyched about it.”

The exciting story – written and conceived by Way, who is joined by artist Gabriel Ba (De:Tales), colours by award-winning colourist Dave Stewart, and covers by multiple-Eisner Award-winning painter James Jean (Fables) – revolves around an estranged group of gifted crime-fighters who are reunited by the death of their guardian and mentor, Dr Reginald Hargreaves. “I don’t really care how big it gets, that’s irrelevant to me,” says Way. “That means that I’ve been able to write it artistically and without thinking about it selling a lot. That’s the most important thing – it’s how we write music too. Fortunately, the two seem to have gone hand in hand. I’m quite lucky that way. I’m really enjoying doing this, that’s the important thing!”

Its our first music release post here at “Scene Releases”. Here we have SAW’s advance rip of Sum 41′s upcoming album, Underclass Hero. Planned for a July 24th release, we have an advance copy in great MP3 quality a week before. This is a great pop-punk album from Sum 41. It’s a reccomended download for any rock lover ;D. Enjoy the album. Here are some small details leading up to the album.

This is Sum 41′s fifth studio album. This is also their first studio album after the departure of guitarist, Dave Baksh. Recording of the album began on November 8, 2006 and was finished on March 14, 2007. The album, backed by the first single and title track “Underclass Hero”, will be released on July 24, 2007.

The musical genre of Sum 41 has been disputed among fans because of the complex combination of different musical styles. The argument is centralized around the punk streak of the band, and they have been labeled as pop-punk, punk rock and even alternative punk. Their lyrics contain some influence and the band’s later albums are known for their often politically-driven music. With Underclass Hero, the band stated a return to their prior music mainly from Does This Look Infected? and All Killer No Filler. This album is “more edgier and faster” than any previous album according to bassist Cone McCaslin, but “Is more punk rock and less metal” as frontman Deryck Whibley stated.

It’s been a while since our last movie release posted up here. It seems nothing good has been out in the theaters lately. Other than “Harry Poter and The Order Or The Phoenix” at least. But the cams of Harry Potter aren’t even worth the bother to post. Every copy of the film has at least bad a/r or distorted audio. But enough about that…. Today’s release comes from scene group, PUKKA. Today they have released a PROPER TS of the high rated film, Ratatouille. The last TS of Ratatouille was from Video_TS, it was a bit lame (specifically in video). Video and audio quality is about standard for its kind. Supposedily this film is a nice animated comedy, although I have not watched it myself. Some people were complaining about the cam audio being filled with laughter. Of course since this is a TS, you won’t need to worry about any background laughing. So its probably a copy you’d like to grab if you are a one-time movie watcher. Ratatouille is a 2007 animated feature film produced by Pixar and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It tells the story of Rémy (voiced by Patton Oswalt), a rat living in Paris who wants to be a chef. The film was directed by Brad Bird, who took over from Jan Pinkava in 2005, and it was released on June 29, 2007 in the United States. It is the first film to be released under the Disney/Pixar merger.

Jan Pinkava came up with the concept and directed the film from 2000, creating the original design, sets and characters and core storyline. Pixar management replaced him with Bird in 2005. Bird was attracted to the film because of the outlandishness of the concept and the conflict that drove it: that kitchens feared rats, yet a rat wanted to work in one. Bird was also delighted that the film could be made a highly physical comedy, with the character of Linguini providing endless fun for the animators. Bird rewrote the story, with a change in emphasis. He killed off Gusteau and gave larger roles to Skinner and Colette, and also changed the appearance of the rats to be less anthropomorphic.

Plot Outline: Remy is a rat, constantly risking life in an expensive French restaurant because of his love of good food, as well as a desire to become a chef. Yet, obviously, this is a rather tough dream for a rat. But opportunity knocks when a young boy, who desperately needs to keep his job at the restaurant, despite his lack of cooking abilities, discovers and partners the young Remy. Its up to the two of them to avoid the insane head chef, bring the rest of Remy’s family up to his standards, win his partner a girl, and, of course, produce the finest Ratatouille in all of France.

iTorrent: An iPhone Torrent Client

The possibility of file sharing while walking down the street is closer than you think. Carrying a torrent client in your pocket is becoming more of a reality with the release of the new Apple iPhone.

I guess the iPhone’s price was actualy worth it…? The technical specifications of the device certainly make it possible. It has more than enough cpu for it, assuming a nice, tightly coded client was written. The built in WiFi (802.11b/g) and use of the EDGE 2.75G wireless network data transfer system allows a fairly widespread availability of reception.

According to one of the developers of the ‘iPhone-binutil‘ project, going by the name ‘geohot’, the only obstacle stopping it from making an application like “iTorrent” happening is their current lack of coding ability for the iPhone. The file system is open, and media players already exist, if for nothing else than playing media from iTunes.

One of the downsides is that, for many, the 3.4Gb free on a brand new phone (or 7.4Gb, if you went for the bigger one) may not be enough to hold much data, but it all depends on what you torrent. Bigger problems are that the battery will last only in the region of 6-8 hours at best (according to Apple’s figures) which isn’t the greatest. Additionally, many users have reported the wifi connections being on the slow side as far as data transfers go. Using EDGE is a lot slower, about 30k/sec max.

Of course, the benefits are that you can carry it around with you, and you have the wide range of content available, with the benefits of torrent file’s typical pricing (free). Of course, time will tell. Meanwhile, the lack of MMS on the iPhone has been a small thorn in the side of many owners. However, there is help at hand in the form of a workaround. More details here.

Again, this is not a scene release, just an essential… As soon as the RC came, it went. A new stable update from uTorrent here. It seems it didn’t take too long until they had to update it. But it seems nothing has improved for Windows XP/Vista users in this latest version. According to the changelog, it has fixed “determination of which peers are local on Windows 98″. Which is only for Windows 98 users.

Big group, SYS, releases the first two episodes of G4′s new animated series, Code Monkeys. I haven’t watched this show yet, but I’ve heard of its great reviews. It seems SYS is the only one to even release this high-rated comedy. But then again, SYS does release some great shows that others don’t (namely Mindfreak, Rob and Big, and most MTV shows , lol). My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has revealed to Kerrang! that the New Jersey emo quintet are itching to begin work on their follow-up to 2006′s ‘The Black Parade’. “It feels like it’s about the right time to be making a new record,” says Way. “Maybe that’s because ‘The Black Parade’ was talked about for so long before it was released, but it feels like that album’s been out for a long time now. We’re already on our fourth single and we’ve played a lot of shows.

“‘The Black Parade’ was the kind of record that you make but don’t necessarily have a burning desire to perform, because its creation was almost the point,” he adds. “It was such an intense experience to make it, that there was almost a feeling of wanting to move on as soon as we released it. It was so artistically ambitious that it made us want to keep on creating.”

The band are spending the summer around the States on Projekt Revolution with Linkin Park.

Another essential. Not really a scene release but its a new update from uTorrent.com. So for all of those who use uTorrent grab the D/L from above. Its not a stable release, but really? Does any beta or RC from uTorrent ever crash or have problems? It isn’t marked as an update because its not a stable release, it may be the reason why uTorrent’s auto-update doesn’t catch it. Sony: Sixaxis With Rumble Coming

Another quick update from E3.

A rumor about Sony planning to release PS3 SIXAXIS controllers with rumble features has been floating around the net. Today the rumor has been confirmed true. A SCEA employee has said this rumor is true. Sony was forced to remove the rumble from their PS3 controllers, but now they have reinstated it. Sony hopes to bring the new rumble-enabled controllers sometime in the near future.

EDIT: It seems the whole subject was a misunderstanding. Sony has officialy announced that Sony, themselves, will not be releasing SIXAXIS rumble controllers. Although a third party will be developing a form of SIXAXIS rumble controllers to be put out.

At The end of June, Team ETH0 released a handy, no-update edition of Window Vista Ultimate. Packaged and ready to install off the DVD without any cracks, serials, or keygens needed! This OEM edition of Vista Ultimate is already installed with all of the updates from June 2007. I hadn’t added this yet, but it needed to be, so here it is! The July edition should be up by the end of this month. This is not the watered-down “Performance” release from tj007s13. But for those who do want the “Performance” edition without all the extra programs, you can grab it here.

Slim PSP Coming In September

Sony have been announcing some very nice news at their press conferences of E3. One of the great things to come is an improved version of their handheld console PSP. It is not the long speculated “PSP 2″, but it does have some nice essentials that last didn’t. The main features are:

1.) 33 percent lighter, 19 percent slimmer outfit
2.) Sped up game loads from UMD
3.) Improved battery life
4.) Video output capability

The console will have 3 outfits: Piano Black, Ice Silver, and Ceramic White editions. These new PSPs will be seen at stores from September 10th, but a special Star Wars Battlefront edition of Ceramic White (bundled with Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron) will be available November 9th. As for the price, only the prices for the Entertainment Pack and the Star Wars special edition PSP have been revealed.

Ice Silver, part of the $199.99 Entertainment Pack that comes with a 1GB Memory Stick, Daxter, and the Family Guy Frickin’ Sweet Collection on UMD. The white Star Wars PSP will retail in October for $199.99 packed with Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron. These release plans are for North America, No annoucnements have been made for other countries. The new version does’t replace older PSPs from the markets and the older PSPs will still be available in stores.

Scene group, 20th, releases a quality TS yet again! This time they package the blockbuster, “Transformers” in a complete 2 CD release. I mark this as the first quality release of this film. I haven’t see anything but cams and crappy TSes, until this! Video quality is as great as most 20th releases. Audio is fair. I’d give this release a 7/10. Although its great and all, I am still waiting for a good DVDrip to burn, so I won’t have to worry about any dark scenes. Its a decent grab for those who want to see what all the hype’s about. I’ve taken the time to grab some info on the film, read it below. As for the release itself, watch & enjoy!

Transformers is a 2007 live action film based on the Transformers franchise, directed by Michael Bay and executive produced by Steven Spielberg. It stars Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky, who has the map to the Allspark, the center of the war between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. The film also stars Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Voight and John Turturro, as well as Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus Prime and Hugo Weaving as the voice of Megatron. Cullen voiced Optimus in the 1980s cartoon, and returned by fan demand.

Producers Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto developed the film, and Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman wrote the script, aiming for a realistic interpretation of the characters. Though not a fan, Bay was convinced by Spielberg to direct, and he created a new intricate design aesthetic for the computer-generated Transformers. Bay used numerous cost-saving measures during production, including support from General Motors and the United States military to keep the budget under $150 million. Armed with an enormous marketing campaign including comics, toys and tie-in deals, Transformers opened in the United States on July 2, 2007, and broke the box office record for the highest-grossing opening week for a non-sequel. It received praise for its special effects, but was accused of favoring action over characterization. Two sequels are in development.

Plot Outline: For centuries, two races of robotic aliens — the Autobots and the Decepticons — have waged a war, with the fate of the universe at stake. When the battle comes to Earth, all that stands between the evil Decepticons and ultimate power is a clue held by young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf). An average teenager, Sam is consumed with everyday worries about school, friends, cars and girls. Unaware that he alone is mankind’s last chance for survival, Sam and his friend Mikaela (Megan Fox) find themselves in a tug of war between the Autobots and Decepticons. With the world hanging in the balance, Sam comes to realize the true meaning behind the Witwicky family motto – “No sacrifice, no victory!”
